Narcolepsy Network, Inc.

Mission statement:

To assist individuals with narcolepsy, their families and friends; To help in the formation of support groups on local, regional and state levels, bringing people who have narcolepsy together to share problems, coping methods, and treatment experience, resulting in a greater understanding of and ability to live with the condition; To promote the early diagnosis and effective treatment of narcolepsy; To develop activities designed to educate the general public, and particularly school, health care, and human resource professionals, concerning narcolepsy and related sleep disorders; To encourage and collaborate with continuing scientific research on the cause, treatment, prevention and cure of narcolepsy; To protect the civil and legal rights of those with narcolepsy by engaging in legislative advocacy and by providing resource information regarding disability, discrimination, driver's license regulations, employment matters, access to medications, and related issues; To seek financial resources through fundraising activities for these purposes.
