On December 5 in 1932, physicist Sheldon Lee Glashow, winner of the 1979 Nobel Prize for his theory that connected electromagnetism with weak nuclear interactions, is born in New York City. [Editor's note: Dr. Glashow was a founding editor of NSTA's journal Quantum.] [ from The Illustrated Almanac of Science, Technology, and Invention ]
