Spotlight on Women's Health
About the Program
Home > Spotlight on Women's Health > About the Program
Every month, we feature a Spotlight on Women's Health in our newsletter, Healthy Women Today. The Spotlight on Women's Health is an interview with a professional or person who has personal knowledge of a women's health topic. We ask the questions we know you're interested in so you can get an inside look at women's health.
How Does it Work?
Womenshealth.gov offers an opportunity for anyone to share information about a health topic important to women. From doctors to nurses, to students and stay-at-home moms, the interviews give our readers a different perspective on a variety of health topics. For example, we might interview a dentist for a professional opinion about oral health and women and we might also interview a breast cancer survivor to learn about her personal experience.
How Do I Participate?
Contact our Marketing and Outreach Director Alison Zuchowski at alison.zuchowski@psgs.com for details on the interview process, topics we're interested in, and to be considered for the program. While we can't interview everyone who is interested, we will do our best to see if you are a fit for our program. Also, we can keep your information anonymous if you would like to submit a story on a sensitive topic using a different name.
What is the Process?
- After discussing your story or your health expertise, we will develop interview questions.
- We will e-mail you the questions for you to answer.
- After you e-mail us your responses, we'll review them and discuss any necessary edits.
Here are some things to consider:
- You do not have to be a professional writer to contribute to the program.
- Your Spotlight on Women's Health will reach thousands of women who share similar interests and enjoy reading about subjects that they can relate to!
