AUSTIN, Texas -- The FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Center at the Veterans of Foreign Wars parking lot in Hemphill is relocating to a new site in Sabine County, after close of business on Tuesday, Oct. 28. The new center is scheduled to open from Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 30-Nov. 2 to provide face-to-face assistance to those who suffered damage from Hurricane Ike.

Residents are encouraged to register with FEMA before visiting a center.
