School Renovation, IDEA and Technology Grants

Authorization:  Department of Education Appropriations Act of 2001, Sec. 321

Eligible Applicants:  State Educational Agencies

Program Purpose and Description:  These grants were distributed to states based on their shares of Title I, Part A, grants. Seventy-five percent of these funds were reserved for school renovation and 25 percent were reserved for activities under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilties Education Act (IDEA) and technology activities associated with school renovation. States distributed these funds to local education agencies on a competitive basis.
