Hi Pat,

Thanks for taking so much time to help us all think through the connections
between women and literacy- what a tall order, no? I have one question for
you that's been swirling around in my head, as I read your postings to the
list: As you were learnng to read or become a nurse did you have a chance to
study in an all women's environment at all? And do you think that matters in
any way? I ask these questions because I have been lucky enough to study and
teach in all women's classes and there were conversations that we were able
to have that just would not have happened in a mixed classroom. Again thanks
for your time.

> I thank everyone who has been participating in our discussion with Pat,
and I thank Pat for reading all of our emails and answering them!
> I would like to remind everyone that Pat will continue to lead our
discussion through Wed., June 28th. I would also like to encourage everyone
to try, for the purposes of this discussion, to limit the emails to one or
two paragraphs. In addition, if you have specific questions, it would be
helpful to start the email with the questions, and then proceed with the
rest of your questions.
