For spouses, the number of victims began at 2,134 in 1976 and decreased to 716 in 2003. Then the number climbed to 764 in 2004, before decreasing, reaching 757 in 2005.

For ex-spouses, the number of victims began at 112 in 1976 and fell to 108 in 1977. The number then rose to 139 in 1979, before falling to 50 in 2001. Then it rose, reaching 55 in 2003, before dropping to 53 in 2005.

For boyfriends or girlfriends, the number of victims began at 646 in 1976 and decreased to 594 in 1977. Then the number increased, reaching a high of 930 in 1993, before decreasing to 685 in 2004. It then increased, reaching 700 in 2005.
