PRESENTERS

Craig Ramey, Ph. D., is a Distinguished Professor of Health Studies and Founding Director of the Center for Health and Behavior of Georgetown University. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Ramey has conducted experimental research on ways to improve school readiness, and reading and math performance for children at risk for school difficulties. He is especially interested in seeing that scientific information about children and families is considered in the formulation and implementation of public policy.

Susan H. Landry, Ph. D., is a Developmental Psychologist and the Michael Matthew Knight Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas-Houston Health Sciences Center. She is also the Chief of the Division of Developmental Pediatrics and the Director of the Center for Improving the Readiness of Children for Learning and Education (CIRCLE).

Reid Lyon, Ph. D., is Chief of the Child Development and Behavior Branch within the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at the National Institutes of Health. He is responsible for the direction, development and management of research programs in developmental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, behavioral pediatrics, reading, human learning and learning disorders.
