Celebrate Safe Communities
October is Crime Prevention Month and with it, the nation welcomes the launch of Celebrate Safe Communities (CSC). CSC is a National event that will be held annually beginning October 2 – 4, 2008. OJP teamed up with the National Sheriffs’ Association and the National Crime Prevention Council to promote this new event funded by BJA throughout the country. Communities are encouraged to host crime prevention events in neighborhoods with local law enforcement, schools, and in collaboration with local businesses.
