New Hours for Toll-Free Registration Number

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is changing the operation hours for its toll-free registration number beginning Monday.

The new hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The number is 1-800-462-9029. Hearing- or speech-impaired applicants with TTY equipment can call 1-800-462-7585.

Anyone who has been affected by flooding in federally declared disaster counties can call the registration line to begin the process of determining eligibility for disaster assistance.

Pennsylvania counties include Bucks, Chester, Dauphin, Delaware, Juniata, Lancaster, Lycoming, McKean, Montgomery, Northumberland, Philadelphia, Snyder, Union and York.
