Continuing dust storms are plaguing eastern Asia, enveloping China (image left and top) and both North and South Korea (right), whose peninsular outlines are barely discernable through an almost completely opaque shroud of airborne dust. This MODIS image was made from data collected on April 8, 2002, and is the most recent in a series of images of repeated dust events that have been occurring over the last month.
