SAVANNAH, Ga. --
Topics will include:
Representatives from the Wage and Hour Division will discuss laws administered by the agency including The Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA), The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and section H-2A of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Time will be set aside for questions.
Following a mid-morning presentation about migrant housing requirements, attendees will tour housing facilities at the location.
State representatives from the Georgia Department of Labor will conduct information sessions on state unemployment insurance and other benefits. The Georgia State Patrol will offer information on motor vehicle safety. Each session will run approximately 30 minutes.
