KENNER, La. -- The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will open a satellite office at 3715 Williams Blvd., Suite 615 in Kenner, La., on October 10. The new office location will provide workers and employers in the Kenner/Metairie area of Greater New Orleans with easy access to the services that the agency provides.

“The department continues to deploy additional resources and staff to the New Orleans area to enhance its compliance efforts in the region,” said Cynthia Watson, regional administrator for the Wage and Hour Division’s Southwest Region.

Workers in the New Orleans area who wish to receive wage and hour information or to file a complaint, and employers who wish to obtain compliance information about labor laws enforced by the Wage and Hour Division, can now visit or telephone either the Kenner satellite office or the main district office location in the F. Edward Hebert Building at 600 South Maestri Place, Room 727, in New Orleans.

The telephone number for the satellite office in Kenner is (504) 465-4672. The telephone number for the main Wage and Hour Division district office in the F. Edward Hebert Building is (504) 589-6171. The Kenner location is being staffed by one bilingual (English-Spanish) team leader and three investigators, two of whom also speak Spanish.
