Commissioner ,

I am extremely concerned that the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) has proposed regulations that still
fail to require labels or safety tests on genetically
engineered (GE) food. We, as consumers and
 Americans, demand that we have the right 
to know what is in our food!

 
I am absolutely appalled at the number 
of GE foods I have ALREADY EATEN - 
I would never have eaten these foods 
had I known what was inside.  Have
you had chocholate chip cookies?  
Spaghetti'O's?  A Tombstone pizza?  Bisquik pancakes?  A PowerBar?
Fed your baby Enfamil
or Similac formula? Then you, too, may 
have already eaten this freakish and 
potenitally devastating type of food! Or 
given it to your child!


The FDA appears to be playing politics 
with our food, disregarding science-based 
precautions that other countries have 
implemented.


I urge you to reconsider this proposal and 
insure that GE
foods are subject to pre-market testing and MANDATORY labeling.
Americans deserve the same protections as 
the rest of the
world. The big companies can not be 
allowed to do this anymore!
