This artist's concept shows NASA's CloudSat spacecraft and its Cloud
Profiling Radar using microwave energy to observe cloud particles and
determine the mass of water and ice within clouds. The mission will collect
information about the vertical structure of clouds that will help answer key
questions about how they form, evolve and affect our weather, climate
and water supply.
