Southern California
The Southern California area is subject to thousands of earthquakes each year. In addition to the San Andreas Fault, there are over 200 other known faults that can produce magnitude 6 or greater earthquakes. A small network of strainmeters monitors the region in the central transverse ranges of this region. Locations of these sites and data plots of recent measurements are available on these pages.

Data Plots
Most instruments take measurements every 10-minutes. Seven day plots are updated every 30-minutes. Thirty day plots are updated daily.
