The genetic analysis resource offers dye-terminator DNA sequencing, fragment analysis, and small-scale isolation of plasmid DNA. The facility is designed to handle high-throughput production of high quality sequence data using the state-of-the-art Applied Biosystem 3730 DNA sequencer and the Applied Biosystem 3130 Genetic Analyzer. For fragment analysis, we provide electrophoresis and sizing of DNA samples using GeneMapper software from Applied Biosystems. We are available to advise and consult on experimental design, sample preparation, primer design, data interpretation, editing, gene walking, assembly, and help in troubleshooting sequencing and fragment analysis data.
