Allele Frequencies in World Populations

Introduction

"It is with great regret and sorrow that we announce the death of Ralph Komerofsky on 11 July 2009. Ralph was the person who wrote all the software and was in charge of technical aspects of the website at its initiation. Without his help the website would not exist.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Ralph. He was recruited to the website by Howard Rood (Abbott) who was a friend of Ralph.

It is ironic that Ralph helped to set up a website which is valuable in the transplantation field but yet died of liver failure without having the opportunity of a transplant. We send our condolences to his wife Phyllis, children and grandchildren."...

As we have completely redesigned the website we are asking individuals to register at first time of use. Please register. If we know the interests of the individual/Institute using the website it will help in future developments.

Allele Frequencies in Worldwide Populations

The main purpose of the allelefrequencies.net website is to provide one central source, freely available to all, For the storage of allele frequencies from different polymorphic areas in the HUMAN genome. Users can contribute the results of their work into one common database, and can perform database searches on information already available.

We have currently collected data in allele, haplotype and genotype format. The success of this website will depend on you to contribute your data.
