HuGENet™ released the first edition of the HuGENet™ Handbook of Systematic Reviews in March 2006. (last accessed 2/2008) All new HuGE reviews should follow the guidance in this document.

Also, we strongly encourage authors to apply the new Venice interim guidelines for rating the credibility of associations in HuGE reviews. See an example of the application of the Venice criteria in the recently published schizophrenia field synopsis. 

Instructions for submitting completed HuGE Reviews:

HuGE Reviews are to be submitted directly to the journal of choice for publication.  The following journals are collaborating with HuGENet™ (last accessed 2/2008):

	American Journal of Epidemiology
	American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology
	Archives of Dermatology
	Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers & Prevention
	Emerging Infectious Diseases
	Epidemiologic Reviews
	Epidemiology
	Gastroenterology
	Genetics in Medicine
	International Journal of Epidemiology
	Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology

Authors should comply with the journal's instructions and formatting, and indicate that the article is a HuGE Review.

Upon acceptance of the final manuscript, an electronic copy should be sent to HuGE@cdc.gov.
