Nashville, TN -- A mobile disaster recovery center will be set up in the towns of Milan and Denmark on Friday and Saturday (May 23, 24) to allow residents who suffered losses in the severe storms of May to get disaster assistance information and learn the status of their applications for aid.

The recovery center in Milan will locate at the fire department, 7029 Telecom Dr., on Friday. On Saturday it will be at the Denmark Elementary School, 1945 Denmark-Jackson Rd. The hours at each location will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Disaster specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be available to explain assistance programs and answer questions.

To receive assistance, residents of declared counties must first register with FEMA by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) toll-free between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. seven days a week. Applicants with speech or hearing impairment should use the TDD number, 1-800-462-7585.
