New Castle, DE -- Federal and state officials are reminding those people affected by the recent flooding from Tropical Storm Henri that free help for disaster related stress is just a phone call away. "Disaster Outreach Project" staff is available to assist those in New Castle County who may need additional support during the recovery process.

The emotional impacts of a disaster such as the Delaware flooding experienced in September can be far reaching. If you are having difficulty coping with increased problems of living resulting from the recent flood and would like assistance contact the "Disaster Outreach Project" at 302-494-5067.

On March 1, 2003, FEMA became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. FEMA's continuing mission within the new department is to lead the effort to prepare the nation for all hazards and effectively manage federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident.
