More Disaster Recovery Centers To Open

Wise, VA -- Two more disaster recovery centers (DRCs) are opening to serve victims of the March flooding in southwestern Virginia.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officials announced that beginning Friday, April 19, a mobile disaster recovery center will open at the Clinch Mountain Farmers Market facility, 210 Highway 23 North, Weber City in Scott County. On Saturday, April 20, a DRC opens in Smyth County at the Saltville Rescue Squad, 126 Battleground Avenue in Saltville.

The DRCs offer information to residents who suffered losses and damages in the March floods. Visits to the recovery centers are not required, but flood victims who want face-to-face assistance can get help at any of the DRCs, regardless of their location.
