Wise, VA -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its contractors are wrapping up debris removal efforts in Hurley. This week is the last opportunity for Hurley area residents to complete the Right-of-Entry forms that allow the Corps or its contractors to enter a property to remove flood debris.

Residents can sign the forms at the Disaster Recovery Center at the Hurley Middle School. They can also call the Corps' temporary Hurley office at 276-566-8421 or 276-566-4503. A Right-of-Entry form must be signed before the Corps or its contractors will enter your property to remove debris. Once the form is signed residents also have the option to identify items that they do not want removed.

The Corps-managed cleanup efforts in Hurley have been ongoing for several days. The process is now on public rights-of-way and private property. Next week will be the final pass through the community
