I adamantly opose Wyeth's efforts to force me to take their synethic hormones by taking away my right to choose safe, effective and natural, bio- identical hormones and regulating my choice of health treatments. In fact, it greatly concerns me that in light of evidence provided by the 2002 Women's Health Initiative (WHI) which demonstrated that Wyeth's products, Premarin and Prempro, caused a significant increase in breast cancer, blood clots to the lungs, heart attacks and strokes, the FDA would continue to support something which is obviously so detrimental to women.
Bio-identical hormones have made a tremendous difference in the quality of my life and my health. I feel and look great. I have been taking bio- identical hormones since I went into menopause two years ago. I recently had blood tests, a mamagraphy, a bone density test and an endrometrial ultrasound and I'm happy to report that I am in excellent health. To take away my right to continue to use bio-identical hormones is an outrage, and until this issue is resolved I and my family and friends will make it a point to stop using any Wyeth products. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
