This is just wrong for Wyeth to try and eliminate great treatment options from needy patients. Just like diabetes treatment went from pig insulin to using bio-identical insulin - the menopause treatment is going from horse hormones to bio-identical insulin. In addition, Wyeth doesn't know what is in 60% of the premarin dose and its long term side effects. Humans were never on horse estrone so why does anyone think its better than human estrone. Premarin should be investigated to determine if it should be available any longer since we now have estrone that's identical to human estrone.
