I am outraged! You cannot and will not take away my right to choose biologically identical hormones to improve my quality of life. Not only do I take these hormones, I am a pharmacist who compounds and dispenses bio-identical hormones to my patients. My practice has been a "last resort" for many who have sought coventional medicine and been placed on anti-depressants, anti-anxiety agents, and risky counterfeit hormones but still feel no better. I continue to be amazed at the number of patients who express to me that biologically identical hormones gave them their lives back. They are able to better interact with their friends and family and able to function in their respective careers. One of my patients actually went on to become Mrs. Texas 2005 and attributes her successes to biologically identical hormones. These bio-identical hormones do NOT endanger public health. Drug companies (aka Big Pharma)DO, however, endanger public health. Look how many drugs have been rushed to release to the public market, only to be recalled several years later, and only AFTER killing many trusting patients. This Wyeth Complaint is a ridiculous waste of time. It is just one more example of Big Pharma trying to "snow" the public, except this time, THEY are the ones trying to shovel themselves out.
