| It has come to my attention that Wyeth Pharmaceuticals has filed a complaint with the FDA to prohibit compounding pharmacies from providing bio-identical hormones to their patients. I would like to voice my own complaint: by removing an opportunity to make a choice between compounded and synthetic hormones you would be denying me a chance for a healthier, happier life. My health `choices' seem to be dwindling from one day to the next. Insurance dictates what doctors I may see and what drugs I may take. I am inundated with magazine and television ads directing me to take this or that drug. When I was diagnosed with high cholesterol my doctor immediately started writing me a prescription for medication. I asked if I could just try changing my diet and exercise habits. This seemed a more `natural' solution to me. I now have low cholesterol. Standing on the brink of menopause I find myself wanting a more `natural? solution to hormonal imbalance as well. I do not want to knowingly court breast cancer, blood clots and heart attacks. Please help me try to help myself by giving me a choice. Please deny Wyeth's complaint.
