It is very important to give credit to the sources of information that you use in creating any type of work. The USPTO were prepared using a variety of resources both on the Web and in print. We reviewed over 200 Federal Kids web sites and saw some truly creative and interesting pages. We have selected those we consider most appropriate to our mission and listed them in the links page and elsewhere throughout the . We "reused" code for a matching game found on the FBI's kids pages for one of our games. We also derived code from instructions and examples provided primarily at builder.cnet.com and from the following books: JavaScript for the World Wide Web 3rd Edition by Negrino and Smith (Peachpit Press) and HTML Illustrated Complete by Reding and Vodnik (Course Technology). This is by no means a complete list of all the readings and inspirations of the web developers, but the resources listed were our most direct resources for the HTML and JavaScript codes contained in these pages. In addition to the Patents and Trademarks databases, we derived inspiration and materials from the following sources: Building a Better Mousetrap, USPTO Office of Public Affairs; The Story of the United States Patent Office, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association 1965; National Inventive Thinking Association Resource of Creative and Inventive Activities by Dr. Elizabeth Rowland and Dr. Leonard Molotsky THE CORE KIDS PAGE TEAM The following volunteers worked on the original team and continue to support the Kids' Pages:
