Concentric rings of small cumulus clouds appear to be spinning inwards toward a center point located roughly near the border of northeast Louisiana (the boot-shaped state) and Mississippi (to its east). It's possible that there is an area of low pressure near there, as clouds spin counterclockwise around a low pressure center in the northern hemisphere. Several fires (red dots) have been detected by MODIS, mainly along the Mississippi River corridor.
