NRC STAFF TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON AUGUST 10 IN EUNICE, NEW MEXICO |

Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials will hold a public meeting at Eunice, N.M., on August 10 to discuss the NRC’s inspection program for a gas centrifuge uranium enrichment plant, called the National Enrichment Facility, to be constructed and operated by Louisiana Energy Services near Eunice. The meeting will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Eunice Community Center, located at 1115 Avenue I. The public is invited to attend and to participate by providing comments and asking questions throughout the meeting. The NRC inspection staff will discuss the agency’s inspection process, areas to be inspected, construction inspection objectives, and enforcement of NRC requirements. |
