NRC HOLDS MEETINGS ON DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT FOR PROPOSED SPENT FUEL STORAGE FACILITY IN UTAH The Nuclear Regulatory Commission, along with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Surface Transportation Board, has scheduled public meetings July 27-28 in Salt Lake City and Grantsville, Utah, to obtain public comments and describe the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Private Fuel Storage facility which would store spent nuclear fuel on the Goshute Indian Reservation, geographically located within Tooele County, about 85 miles west of Salt Lake City. The meetings are scheduled for July 27 in the Arizona Room of the Little America Inn, at 500 South Main Street in Salt Lake City; and for July 28 at the Grantsville Middle School, 318 South Hale Street in Grantsville.
