NRC ADVISORY
COMMITTEE ON NUCLEAR WASTE TO MEET |

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Advisory Committee on Nuclear Waste will hold a public meeting June 15-17, in Rockville, Md., to discuss, among other items, risk-informing Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards activities, and the committee’s draft white papers on high-level radioactive waste transportation issues and low-level radioactive waste. The meeting will also include the committee’s review of the latest International Commission on Radiation Protection Foundation Documents, and its review of the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses’ research program. An ACNW working group will meet Wednesday, June 15, to discuss draft guidance being prepared to implement the License Termination Rule. The meeting will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Thursday session will run from 10:15 a.m. to 5:40 p.m., and the session on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. All sessions are open to the public and will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency’s Two White Flint North Building, at 11545 Rockville Pike.
