For the second annual Art and Essay Contest at Petrified Forest National Park entries were received from Mrs. Julie Wiessner's Fourth Grade class at Hulet Elementary.

The 1st and 2nd place winners received, respectively, $50 and $25 Petrified Forest Museum Association gift certificates. Because it was such a close contest, Honorable Mentions were also awarded a prize!

ART (Grades 3-5)

2nd place: Angel Benitez
Honorable Mention: Denyce Hawk

ESSAY (Grades 3-5)

2nd place: Angel Benitez

All artwork and essays submitted for the contest will be on display at Painted Desert Inn through the month of December.
