• Genetic variation associated with ischemic heart failure: a HuGE review and meta-analysis by Georgios Kitsios and Elias Zintzaras from the University of Thessaly School of Medicine (American journal of epidemiology, July 2007).

Two new HuGE Reviews were proposed in July:

Handbook for Authors of New HuGE Reviews
HuGENet™ released the first edition of the HuGENet™ Handbook of Systematic
Reviews ((165KB)) in March 2006. All new HuGE reviews should follow the guidance in this document.

As of August 14, 2007, the HuGENet™ website contains 28,952 research studies indexed in the HuGE Published Literature database, referencing 2,927 genes,and 1,891 health outcomes/diseases.  Both epidemiologic studies and review articles can be found in the database which includes 61 HuGE Reviews and 542 meta-analyses.
