Dededo, Guam -- The number of reduction sites available to the public will be reduced to two beginning on Saturday, March 1. Effective on that date, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will cease accepting debris at the reduction site located in Yigo.

Closure of the site will allow a final measurement of the debris to be taken, followed by the final debris reduction process.

As reduction sites are closed, the metals are being transported to a recycler, construction debris is going to a hardfill, and the vegetative debris will be ground up into mulch and made available to the general public for beneficial reuse.

Residents will continue to have access to the remaining sites located at Dededo and Barrigada. The Dededo reduction site will be closed within the next week, while the reduction site in Barrigada will remain open through March 20.
