Disaster Recovery Centers Hours Change

Dededo, Guam -- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and government of Guam disaster officials have changed the hours of operation for the three Guam Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs).

Beginning Monday, January 20, DRCs at Inarajan, Yigo and University of Guam will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All three DRCs will be closed on Sundays.

The hours for the FEMA teleregistration line and helplines (1-800-621-3362) and the local language helpline (633-9820) will remain 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday until further notice.

Anyone who has damage caused by Super Typhoon Pongsona and has not registered should call the FEMA toll-free number at 1-800-621-3362 to apply. The deadline to apply for FEMA and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) assistance is February 18, 2003, less than one month away. Persons with speech or hearing impairments may call TTY 1-800-462-7585.
