• An article on the screening tool used by HuGENet™ staff to identify articles for the HuGE Navigator, the GAPscreener, was published by BMC Bioinformatics in April. • HuGE Watch: tracking trends and patterns of published studies of genetic association and human genome epidemiology in near-real time

HuGENet™ would like to spotlight the Catalog of Published Genome-Wide Association Studies complied by the Office of Population Genomics at the National Human Genome Research Institute, in collaboration with HuGENet. This resource was recently cited in the article, A HapMap harvest of insights into the genetics of common disease, by Teri A. Manolio, et al.

As of May 1, 2008, the HuGE Navigator  contains 34,043 research studies, referencing 3,463 genes,and 1,935 health outcomes/diseases. Both epidemiologic studies and review articles can be found in the database which includes 71 HuGE Reviews and 733 meta-analyses.
