Regional Emergency Management Conference Starts April 2 In Bellevue

Seattle, WA -- Bioterrorism response and lessons learned from the 2001 Nisqually Earthquake will be two of the major topics at the Partners in Preparedness conference that opens Tuesday, April 2, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bellevue. More than 500 persons from government and non-profit agencies, businesses and schools and emergency management volunteers are expected to attend the two-day conference.
Featured speakers and times include:
- Susan Hutchinson, KIRO-TV news anchor, leadoff speaker at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday.
- Maj. Gen. Timothy J. Lowenberg, Adjutant General of the Washington National Guard and Washington Military Department Director, noon, Tuesday.
- Dr. Peter Ward, of the National Science and Technology Council, 9 a.m. Wednesday.
