Disaster Recovery Services Remain Operational On Veteran's Day Federal And State Officials Announce Business As Usual

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The full range of federal and state disaster recovery assistance services for those affected by the Oct. 17-31 floods will remain operational on Veteran's Day.

Officials with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (DEM), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that Disaster Recovery Centers and the toll-free teleregistration and Helpline numbers will be open for flood victims' calls, questions and visits.

Individuals who suffered disaster-related losses are encouraged to call the teleregistration number at 1-800-462-9029 (TTY: 1-800-462-7585) to apply for assistance. Anyone with questions regarding their teleregistration application or program assistance may visit a Disaster Recovery Center or call the Helpline at 1-800-525-0321 (TTY: 1-800-660-8005).

Disaster Recovery Center locations and hours of operation are as follows:

Monday - Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.
