Yosemite National Park
Our Partners

Yosemite National Park has formed partnerships with a variety of organizations in order to help the National Park Service fulfill its mission.

Yosemite's primary partners include:

  • Yosemite Association
Formed in 1923, the association was the first national park support organization in the United States. The nonprofit Yosemite Association continues its support today through a program of visitor services, publications sales, and membership activities.

  • Yosemite Fund
Created by the Yosemite Association, the Yosemite Fund became a separate organization in the 1980s and is the primary nonprofit fundraising organization for Yosemite.

  • Yosemite Institute
Yosemite Institute is a nonprofit organization that provides educational adventures in nature's classroom. For over 35 years, the institute and its parent organization (Yosemite National Institutes), have served over 40,000 youth and adults annually.

  • Ansel Adams Gallery
The Ansel Adams Gallery, an authorized park concessioner, is a registered California historic business, owned and operated in Yosemite by the family of Ansel Adams since 1902.

  • DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite
DNC, an authorized park concessioner, assumed the management of visitor services at Yosemite National Park in 1993, and quickly became known in the industry for its innovative environmental practices and management style.

Yosemite National Park has partnerships with numerous other organizations, as well, including the American Alpine Club (climbing history and current environmental concerns related to climbing), Sierra Club LeConte Lodge Committee (which operates the historic LeConte Memorial Lodge), University of California, Merced, and University of California, Berkeley, as well as a multitude of other local service and community organizations, and universities.

The park also has agreements with Huangshan and Jiuzhaigou national parks in China.

Peaks in Huangshan

Did You Know?
Yosemite and Huangshan are sister parks. Huangshan, which protects over 77 magnificent granite peaks 3,000 feet (1,000 m) or higher, is one of China's most famous and sacred scenic areas. Countless poems and writings dating back 2,200 years attest to its beauty.
