Welcome to CPCRC
The Columbia Plateau Conservation Research Center, Pendleton, Oregon is a place where agronomists, soil scientists, hydrologists, and microbiologists work together every day to find solutions to agricultural problems.
Specifically, we conduct research in two primary areas:
· Develop and transfer the science-based knowledge of soil resource management needed to ensure abundant and affordable food, feed and fiber for the Nation while protecting our soil, water and air resources, and
· Provide science-based information and its effective retrieval, management, and analysis for agricultural management and decision-making.
Our goal is to help growers retrieve, understand, and apply information to the development and effective management of whole farm systems within the context of their ecosystems and communities. To meet this priority, we are an active leader in basic and applied research of regional, national, and international significance to soil and water conservation, and a valued partner in implementation of strategies to achieve agricultural sustainability.
