FEMA and GovGuam disaster officials announced that the closings will coincide with the February 18 application deadline. Island residents and business owners have until 6 p.m. on Tuesday to visit any of the DRC locations.

The local FEMA Helpline will also be closing at the end of the business day on February 18.

Officials stress that the centers will only be open five more business days:

Thursday, February 13
Friday, February 14
Saturday, February 15
Monday, February 17
Tuesday, February 18

The Disaster Recovery Centers are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. They are closed on Sunday.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced that although the DRCs are closing on February 18, the centers at the Yigo Gym and the UOG Field House will become SBA Disaster Centers. At these locations, as well as the SBA Disaster Center at the Micronesia Mall, SBA officials will remain available to accept SBA applications from individuals and businesses who have registered for disaster assistance but have not yet submitted their completed applications or have questions concerning their existing SBA applications. These centers will remain open Mondays-Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until further notice.

To apply for assistance, people must call toll-free 1-800-621-3362 (TTY 1-800-462-7585) daily between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. before the February 18 deadline. Those who have already applied and still have questions can call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362.
