Century Disaster Recovery Center To End Operations

ORLANDO, Fla. -- After eight weeks of service, the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) located at the Agricultural Center at 6001-A Industrial Boulevard in Century will end operations at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

So far, 1,625 Floridians have visited the Century DRC to receive information about disaster assistance and taking steps to lessen damages in future disasters. A total of 17,929 people have been served by the DRCs operating in the area affected by Hurricane Dennis.

Applicants who may still require DRC services can get continuing help in three ways:

Operating hours at the DRCs are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily, including Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5, until further notice.

Additionally, the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Franklin County workshop will be open in the East Point Volunteer Fire Department located at 24 6th Street in East Point, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., throughout the Labor Day weekend. Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6, the office will be open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., until further notice.
