Langley, KY -- Officials of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management (KYEM) said today that a total of $6,248,794 has been obligated to date for state and county public assistance projects.
Construction costs involved with the repair or replacement of roads and bridges make up a large percentage of work projects.
State roads and bridges will receive the largest share with $3,095,307 in public assistance funding.
Listed in alphabetically order, counties to receive public assistance funding and the amounts approved, are Bath, $42,203; Clay, $212,980; Estill, $14,627; Floyd, $1,184,222; Harrison, $2,562; Johnson, $116,932; Knott, $76,888; Lawrence, $26,292; Letcher, $400,968; Lewis, $!,448; Livingston, $105,360; Mason,$71,334; Perry, $303,762; Pike, $361.680; Powell, $15,271; Rockcastle, $126,613; Rowan, $126,613; and Whitley, $40,662.
The above figures (rounded to the nearest dollar) include 75 percent federal funding..
