Sunday Hours Change At Disaster Recovery Centers

JACKSON, Miss. -- State and federal officials have announced that Disaster Recovery Centers throughout the state of Mississippi will be open Sundays 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., starting Oct. 9. Hours for Monday through Saturday will remain 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The schedule will remain in effect until further notice.

Disaster victims are urged to register for assistance first by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or online at www.fema.gov. The TTY number is 1-800-462-7585 for those who are speech- or hearing-impaired.

Representatives of state, federal, and voluntary agencies are on hand at Disaster Recovery Centers to answer questions and provide recovery information. Officials from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to discuss disaster loans for homeowners, renters and businesses of any size. Written materials about various assistance programs are also available to individuals and business owners.
