Less than 24 hours after flash flooding had struck Addison County, Vermont, FEMA Region I Administrator Art Cleaves joined Gov. James Douglas to survey damage.  Several state highways in the area had to be closed due to major washouts and several bridges also sustained major damage.  The flooding came following several days of heavy rains.  Additional rains are expected, so federal, state and local officials are on alert.
