FEMA to Share Tips on Rebuilding Safer After Disaster

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) offer businesses and homeowners tips on how to repair and rebuild in a way to make properties less susceptible to damage from future disasters.  Mitigation specialists will provide information on how to prevent or lessen the effects of future water and wind damage, building a safe room, and even avoiding earthquake damage. 

All residents are encouraged to visit a center below and talk face-to-face with specialists on a wide variety of mitigation topics.

Residents can become familiar with the National Flood Insurance Program, floodplain management activities and how their communities can participate
