Madison, Wis. -- Community Education Outreach (CEO) teams wind up their series of location visits to county fairs, home improvement stores, and hardware stores that provide flood-recovery advice and distribute repair and rebuilding information on August 10, disaster officials announced.

CEO teams provide flood-recovery advice on rebuilding to avoid future storm damages, remedies for mold and information on flood insurance and other state and federal disaster assistance programs.

"The CEO team visits provide opportunities for everyone who suffered damage from the June storms and floods to get personalized help and have their questions answered by experts," said WEM Administrator Johnnie Smith. "So far, more than 8,600 Wisconsin residents have received assistance from these teams."

Individuals and business owners also can access more information on flood proofing and renovations online at www.fema.gov, www.floodsmart.gov  and www.flash.org.  Mitigation specialists also are located at the Disaster Recovery Centers (list attached) still operating.
