JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) offer businesses and homeowners tips on how to repair and rebuild in a way to make properties less susceptible to damage from future disasters. Mitigation specialists will provide information on all aspects of disasters, including how to prevent or lesson the affects of future water and wind damage, building a safe room, and even avoiding earthquake damage.
Three new information stations will be set up in the following locations.

Residents can become familiar with the National Flood Insurance Program, floodplain management activities and how their communities can participate.
FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
