Charleston, WV -- Disaster recovery officials announce today the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) teleregistration number and Helpline will be closed on Sunday, July 13.

Residents in the 12 disaster-designated counties may call the FEMA toll-free application line and Helpline (1-800-621-3362) Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT. For the speech or hearing impaired, call TTY 1-800-462-7585. The teleregistration number and Helpline will reopen Monday, July 14 and will remain open regular hours: daily, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (EDT), until further notice.

Those who suffered damages from the severe storms, flooding and landslides beginning June 11 are encouraged to call right away and make an application. A wide variety of federal and state programs are available to help West Virginians begin the disaster recovery process.

"We're going to be here as long as we are needed," said Federal Coordinating Officer Louis Botta. "The recovery process takes time. FEMA and the State of West Virginia are here to make sure every eligible resident has the opportunity to apply and receive the assistance needed."
